This is nice; I wish I'd have had the brains to put my whole chassis and drivetrain together and test fit everything before I painted it. I have to go back and redo the steering rack so it was a lot of work wasted. Live and learn.Quote:

motor you seem to have the same brake lines (pre flared advance auto type lines?) and master cylinder. would you be able to tell me what fittings you used to connect the lines to the master cylinder?

I bought the steel lines from a local parts store. The thru frame fittings,residual valves and stainless hoses came from www.inlinetube.com.
I bent all the lines myself.

Looks great, are you putting grommets on the line that goes through
the frame. Other wise I would be afraid that it would rub a hole in the
line. Thanks Kurt
I am using nut serts in the frame..blind nuts, then clamping the lines with stainless clamps with a small piece of vacuum hose over it to give it a tight fit.
Not a build pic. Just had some Turkey day time to kill before the big feast tonight, so I Finished a customers tow vehicle. They pull this behind the motor home. I pulled a few elements out of the motor home stripes and came up with this, so they match when it's a tow vehicle, but doesn't look too out of place when it's not. That's enough for today. Time to get ready for turkey. :3dSMILE:

Well I'm leaving tomorrow morning at 4:00 a.m. to go out to SD for Pheasant hunting and to stop at Dave's to pickup my coupe. I talked to him yesterday and he said it's ready for me to pick it up. EXCEPT for one thing.......... he's holding on to my doors (see attached photos) :eek:

Or...... oh ya, he said he would bring them out to me in the Spring so he could see my son's 66 Mustang Fastback. Shucks he could just come and see the 66; he wouldn't really need to keep my coupe's doors hostage would he? :LOL: :LOL: :LOL: :LOL:
Tom was just here, dropped off the trailer and headed west for some pheasant hunting with his brother.... He'll be back on Sunday to pickup the couple... and yes, the doors are being held hostage til spring.... still need a bunch of work on them before they're ready to shoot. Suppose I should get out in the shop sometime this weekend and get his coupe together!!!!!:LOL::LOL: :LOL: Tom will have plenty to do on it, he's going to put in the floor, steering, seats, brakes, and all that other stuff....
Well, the coupe is on it's way back to Tom's.... Got the body shaped up, and all mounted, kept the doors here cuz they need a ton of work... and now Tom's gonna run off to Florida, then come home and work on the car in the spring, I'll let him tell ya what all he plans to do...
Anyway, here it is loaded up and heading east----on slippery roads!!!!!!

Oh well, I put some new pics in my gallery for anyone who's interested....
I got home at 6:45, roads were glare ice only for about 5 east of Dave's...... until I got about 5 miles west of Albert Lea and then all blankty blank happened, not really that bad. I called my son and asked him to help me unload the coupe, I was 30 miles from home, roads were dry, I was clipping along at 65. AND then my dash lights began flikkering, the amb meter bounced all over the place and BINGO no dash lights or tail lights. I still had my headlights, so thinking the worst I shut the heater off. Thought maybe the alternator might have gone out and I'd be running on the battery. Called my son back and told him the problems, and said that I was going to get off the interstate. AND then more snow/sleet, the road turned glare ice. I got behind a slow moving Semi and finally got on a backroad. Bad choice, it was even worst. But I got home and after several attempts to back up into my driveway I got it done. I shut off the truck and put on the emergency brake..... and it skidded back out the driveway about 6 feet. But the coupes home and in my garage now....... covered with salt and sluch, but home.
Nasty trip, but glad you made it safely, Tom!!!!
Sounds like a real adventure, Tom. Glad you and the coupe made it in one piece!
