Thought about a 3rd color, I'm just not artistic enough to work it in anyway that it doesn't wind up looking dorky!!!! Some day when I'm out to the farm, I'll try to remember to get a pic and some numbers off the pair that I have... The are complete with factory looking linkage...no idea what they came off of!!!! Got them at a swap meet many moons ago just cuz they were cool!!!! I ran two of them on a high winding, radically cammed 289 with the old Edelbrock 2 4bbl intake on a 65 Mustang coupe many years ago. They worked great!!! Simple old carbs to work on and synch. Don't even remember what the CFM rating was, maybe 400 or something????
I did think about a blue, purple, black or something pinstripe on the outside of the red pinstripe, but gave up on that, too!!!! Heck, it's already wet sanded and buffed now!!!!! Yeah, it should be a fun car, the owner is really excited to finally see some work being done on it. Got the rear quarter blocked in today, looks pretty good. Should be able to get the body shell in primer next weekend. Also today, took time to look over the front fenders....Looks like some real manly type had to prove how tough he was and caved in one of the headlight openings with who knows what, looks like it was hit with a big piece of flat bar stock or something.... Suppose the dude was PO'd cuz the owner pulled it out of his shop.... Guess ya gotta be tough to beat up a car, huh?????
I agree, why take it out on the car! I think that baby is going to be a dandy to hotrod up.
I got my electric back up fan in today, no buffing, guy got tied up. I did get some new plugs in her and cleaned the engine so I am ready as I'm going to get for Branson @ 98degrees next weekend.
Dave new stripe is definitly a hit on the mark . The stripe outline is the accent that was needed brings it out .

I hope so, I let it idle in my storage unit in 100 heat and it stayed at 180 so maybe my heating troubles are gone. Branson in 100 degree weather with bumper to bumper traffic will be the test for sure.
Brick read a article in hot rod and the fan blade you have on the electric is supposed to be the best for cooling . A extra cooling fan like that one should keep you slow cruizin easily .
Hope you have enough fun at Branson for all the rest of us who won't be there this year!!!!!
Gave her a test in 98 degree weather today in traffic and even got out and let it idle for 20 minutes after driving around town. She stayed around 180 so that is a major improvement.
Looking forward to Branson for a weekend of cruizin' and watching all the burn outs all weekend. I'll try to carry the flag for you Dave, it may take alot of cold drinks!
Is Branson this weekend? If so I might have to road trip, it takes about 2 1/2 for me.
