With a car like the 'maro going on the street, think I'd be buying donuts for the chief everytime him or one of his cars showed up.... Maybe you could make a deal, one get out of jail free card for every 4 dozen donuts and one first rate lettering job??????  :LOL:Quote:

I'm hopin' he'll cut me some slack. I don't think seeing the exposed chassis helps my cause much though. I was hoping I could have most of it covered up before he saw it. But, as long as I don't do something stupid and keep my foot out of it I think he'll be O.K. with it. ....I hope. :HMMM:
Not so sure I would worry so much about the chief who probably does no road patrol as I would some of his fuzzy cheeked patrolmen that most likely aspire to greater glory then being a town cop on a dead end job:eek:
the only grief i mostly get is from younger cops who are honda fans ..Quote:

Even spent some time on the Bronco II today, installed a good solid brace between the door jams and got one more section of the old floor cut out.... Won't be much longer now and the body will be on the rotissierie and start looking better. I do have everything in shape now to start working on all the dimensions for the frame and cage, gonna take Tech's advice and draw everything out at 1/2 scale before I even bother ordering the tubing.... Tom's coming to get his coupe on the 28th, so I'll be staying on it to make sure it's ready for him....
Here's a couple shots of the coupe, one of the Por 15 on the inside of the left front fender, and another of the car coming apart so I can prime and block 1 more time.
best thing to do is buy chief a gift card to the local donut shop . it would be the best $200 you ever spent. i had my tub out 66GTO on the street them cops would get up my backside so far they could tell you how many filling i had in my mouth:eek:Quote:

I'm going to get the primer on the parts I have ready now, then go to work on the rest of the parts....
Lookin good Dave, I bet Tom is getting excited!:3dSMILE:
Getting Excited?????? I've been excited about that coupe from the first day I laid eyes on it. But that was a different excitment. Now with all that sheetmetal done.......... I can hardly contain myself. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D whacked:Quote:

Good Job Dave. I see some projects in the background. Which one are you gonna' work on first once you get back at 'em?
First will be get my truck back inside and get it done, then the 'maro is almost ready for it's suspension and an engine.... Then the Bronco II gets it's new frame and suspension...Quote:

Final plan, sell them all, dump large sums of $$$$$ into the Ranchero!!!!!!
One of the last of the problem areas on the coupe is the doors... Driver's door isn't too terribly bad, but the passenger's door was really hammered. The skin had been partially removed, so I had to finish taking the door apart to straighten out some of the damage and to get the broken screws out of the hinges.... Have a couple of rusted areas on the bottom of the door to weld patches in, then I'll start straightening out the damage and putting the two pieces back together. Also got the inside structure for the deck lid repaired and "derusted" today, hopefully I can get some Por 15 on the pieces and start putting them back together....
Looks like you have been "burning the midnight oil" the last couple of weeks to get my coupe done. DO NOT OVER DO YOURSELF!!!!!!! I can wait longer for it. It looks like an awful lot of work to get done in just a week.
