Everybody that is currently building a car...

Dave seen this truck come along way and looking good at that . No market to sell right now getting offers for half of what i am selling it for or asking . . Think i'm going to spray up the 31 and put it in the shed till this boils over . With a 3K suspension i'm not going to give it away . Only see specialty stuff hitting the numbers .

I need it to fund the 37 hate dipping in my own money to support this habit with the economy sitting on the bottom . This will just prolong the build doing a little at a time I hate that . I like the parts sitting here waiting when i get to the next step or part of build .

But good luck and hope it goes fast for you I like watching the projects your working on it gives me better skill . TV is not as good as the cars I get here on this forum .

Here I go getting side tracked again; but it's my brother in laws fault! He sold me this for $200 with a perfectly straight rust free body, good paint, and a nice interior. It's already got small block Chevy mounts welded in so I think I'll drop in a stock 350/350 and have some fun this summer, then sell it in the fall. How could I say no to a V8 powered 77 Chevette?

Heck, a guy's got to have some fun!!!! Should be a fun one to put together, anyway!!!

i have been working on my ole77 for a while now, have done alot of work to it. i have come a long ways from the start. i put in a 1985 454 bb left the tranny that came with it. done a lot of mod work. right now its on jacks, but not for long. i'm having a problem with tanny fliud leaking on the ground from out of the center of the dip stick tub,i know the tranny is not full of fluid cause i only put about 3 quarts in it. i am thinking the tub is leaking where you bolt the tub to bell housing.

Well this is where I left it in September . Lost myself for a while but mind is coming back . Starting next Wednesday I will be off 12 days for Christmas shut down and I plan or at least hope to have all the light plastic and primer on it. Do still have the Holidays to contend with . Will have to clean garage again since I added all the parts for the 37 in there too geez I need a lot more room .

I am happy with how the rocker and fender came out . All down to a skim coat . Spring it will have color after being a dust collector for the last 12 years .

Ken i think the original Acapulco Blue since she is all stock and numbers matching . Just couldn't bring myself to alter it . Next one though will be a Gunmetal Gray cause i sure do like those colors.

Here's my latest; hope to finish it quick, play with it a few months and sell it to put the money toward the 48. It's got small block mounts welded in but the guy who did it cut the whole firewall out. Shouldn't be too bad of a fix; most of the pieces are there. I bought a 350 from a 79 Chevy truck from Craigslist and tore it down today. Everything looks good but 1 head is cracked. I'll probably just do a quick re-ring with a cam, headers, and aluminum intake. I think 300 or so HP is more than enough to push it around! All the bearings were standard and looked pretty good. More to come soon....

You know how one thing leads to another? I'm rearranging the garage for a new arrival. In the process I've got to move the '28 hiboy which doesn't have any motor mounts but was sitting there with a block and trans mocked into place. So it occurs to me that I ought to knock out a couple of frame mounting brackets "real quick" so it will be easier to move the roadster around. Over on one of the benches is a pair of rear spring brackets from the '65 Dodge that I thought I'd ebay away. But then I looked again and tucked inside those scabby ol' brackets were some frame brackets that were just right for the roadster.

The first pic shows the first frame bracket roughed out and the other Mopar spring bracket waiting it's turn under the plasma cutter.

The second pic is the passenger side bracket close to done, just needs a little more detailing. The driver side one is going to need more massageing to work around the steering box which isn't in place yet either (another one thing leads to another.....).

The third pic is the passenger bracket mocked into place. Once the radiator, fuel pump, and exhaust are in place you almost won't be able to see it. Could have bought some perfectly servicable ones from CE for less than $30 bucks. Oh well.......
