LOL Yes there solid mounts really wanted to keep a really clean look and feel for the front of the motor and im running a powersteering pump mounted to the driver side of the motor down low and being im ging to run a race pump mech. fuel pump its narrow and has the inlet and outlet lines cmming out of the top of it. soit will clear nicely.
Hey George, that is one wild ride! The crazier the better. Really like the tilt front
-CP
Thanks! The tilt front end makes working on the engine way easier if need be, and the top of the hood will open traditional style but these big fenders are almost impossible to work over ecs with the hood the way i moved the opening up higher. But still have to fit all my body gaps and get hood fit to new hinges and i'll be ready to break car down and off the frame so i can start smoothing it up aswell as the suspension and rear end and get my air ride in.

<<65NY---Interesting car, I've never seen anything like that. Maybe that's why I like it so much. Kudos on the website too.... although the LOUD noise it makes when you open it up was a little embarassing when I opened it up at work.>>
Thanks for the compliments! sorry about the volume, I'm just learning web design and haven't figured out how to control the volume yet...let's just say it's no where near as loud as the car LOL
Nice 65....my first driver was a 65 Newport 4dr hardtop with a 383. Wild car, all original and fast as hell. One day the oil pump died and bye bye Newport.
....Hi Fellas. I've been out for a while with an injury, better now.
Daver. :3dSMILE:
I found this picture of me in 1982 with my first car, a 1941 Dodge Luxury Liner. I was only 12. Took the photo with a 1917 Kodak camera!
That was a cool car. Flat head six, all original. First time we started it, I didn't know the radio knob was turned on. you know those old tube radios needed to warm up about 10 seconds. All of a sudden Glen Miller's String of Pearls started playing, and my Dad and I almost had a heart attack...thought the damned thing was haunted! I wanted to keep her but the compression was weak so we sold it for $750, not bad in '82. Went out and bought a 1960 Caddy Series 62...
Hey everyone been looking and staying up with it all . Haven't did a whole lot over winter but look for parts and think of changes .
Dave been watching that shop work you are doing . The Plymouth is coming along just great , and the 69 Mustang looks sweet in color .
ChrisP nice rod you have going there . Family shots really help it also .
Tom F give ya $500 for that Fastback . Been sad here since I sold the S Code to get the 37 :HMMM: Wish I had it back .
Look at you Falcon cruising in a Vette , well not bad if ya come up and let me test drive it . Never have driven one .
Ireland keep up with you in the header thread .
First since 31 is for sale I decided I wanted to keep the T-5 and 9 inch so I located a AOD from a 88 Mustang GT and a 8 inch from a 66 Fairlane 500 . Now I need to get body off again and swap these two items out soon . Also made the decision to get it running and rolling for a faster sale .
The 37 has some bad front cowls sections and a guy on the H had a set $65 to my door and super clean I can't Thank him enough saved almost $350 on parts this way .

Also picked up this 351 W for the 37 it's a C9 block now looking for some GT40P heads cheap for it . Just missed a set locally for $200 well have to keep hitting the U pick and find some .
So the 37 will be 351 , T-5 with a 9 inch

Then I bought one of those nylon fiber wheels and stripped the right mustang fender of 2 layers of paint . These really remove the material and leave such a nice clean sheet metal surface . Just started to run the 80 grit DA over it last night . Soon it will be primer and ready. Last thing is the hood woo hoo its ready for paint .
http://inlinethumb54.webshots.com/43...425x425Q85.jpg
Well since the 31 sits so close I hit the right cowl I had hit with a 80 grit DA . The paint being original just comes right off with this fiber wheel . This means strip time will be cut down on it and it will get ready fast to color . Not much sheet metal work since its clean and pretty straight .

http://inlinethumb52.webshots.com/42...500x500Q85.jpg
Started with 50 grit forgot what it took to get those marks out and how many sheets of 80 . Have to keep renewing to make a good cut . But the fender is looking good now and won't need much primer to fill . One half done with the nylon fiber wheel 80 cleaned it right up .

thanks, Put a lot of work into her and still have a long way to go!

Man, with that outfit, I bet you got your lunch money stolen at school A LOT!!!..... :D
Looking great, Bobby. My wife and I are cruising the Vette to Indy for Super Chevy weekend on July 11th. Come on up and I'll let you take it down the road.
Bluestang67
I wouldn't even sell my 66 Mustang notchback parts car for $500:p:LOL:
LOL I didn't think you would .
Getting some stuff done on the '51 Chevy. I entered it in a carshow for july 8th.. it's not going to be a spectacular car when done, just an amature resto for now ( I'll re- restore it in a few years or so ).. it's mechanicly sound as is, so I just gotta get it painted and put the interior togther, replace glass and stuff like that.. I should have it done, but if not.. the carshow registration was only $6.. and of course, recheck all of the mechanics b4 putting it on the road just to make sure

Just an update on the Plymouth. Working on the engine covers--the new EFI hemi is really fugly with all the wires and stuff on the top of it, so I'm covering the whole thing. The owner is another geezer, so of course the back end had to have flush mount lights, frenched plate, and megaphones!!!! The automatic tranny is huge, so of course the tunnel had to be huge and the seats (Honda) mounted high. Vision is fine and it's how the owner wants it so it must be right...... The interior is huge....back seat is from the Honda, too, and behind it is a firewall hiding the fuel tank and battery box... When sitting in the back seat, there's a ton of leg room!!!! Gonna be a really fun cruizer. Lots of electrics and electronics going under the dash--22 relays at last count, plus the ECU, A/C evaporator, and all the other normal stuff. Just got the new radiator back, have to start building mounts for it and the condensor tomorrow....
That doesn't look much different than my 53 did a few years ago! (well, 18 years ago) I looked at your site...looks like you're gonna paint it purple? Fantastic! Nothing like a nice deep candy purple. I think I'm going to go with metalflake. Good luck with that car, looking forward to seeing the progress!
yes, it will be a grape purple color.. I bought the interior first ( grape purple and snow white vinyl ).. then took color samples to the paint place and had them custom match the colors.. I might bring the snow white to the outside somehow.. as it will be, the glove box door and the area behind the gauges are painted a diffrent color from the factory ( gray on a blk dash ).. so the main portion of the dash will be purple, with the glove box door and area behind the gauges will be white.. all color matched
Well the coupe is loaded up on my motorcycle trailer and I'll deliver it to Dave's this Friday. I'm going to a wedding in Billings MT and hope to pick it up on my return home on Monday. He's going to put the doors on it. I Will be doing some welding on the body mounts he fabricated so when it's back here it will go right back on the chassis.
He finishing up the doors for you . The coupe looks great you took it home to mount it to frame and make adjustments right.
Really fits nice on the little trailer now, Tom!!!!! should tow like a dream! Derek should be at the shop Friday, not sure what time I'll get out there!!!!
The coupe looks great, Tom!
Ah yes. Finally have the Elky ready to fire up once again. All thats left is to weld in the upper mounts for the 3 point seat belts and I'll concider the car its self fairly safe and driveable. Now it is finally time to get back to the 36.

Here's an update on shop stuff..... Started fitting the hood side panels and top, door latches and strikers, and a bunch of little stuff on the Plymouth. Bill and I put a rolled pan on the back of the '66 chebbie pickup, and the '67 maro is the most recent addition to the shop collection....just getting started on it, needs just about all new skin....
Mentor been waiting to see how the shop stuff is going . The Plymouth is going great you will put Overhauling out of business LOL oh they are already . Getting great Ideas from all of this you know refreshes the mind when it hasn't been used in a while . .
The Chevy looks more scary then a Mustang with rust . But they say the Goodmark panels work well with these cars is that what you will be using . You going to put you thumb print in the paint like the old guys used to do at the assembly plants .
Doing other people's car is a bit limiting, but I guess it pays the bills..... Don't know what brand of panels Bill ordered for the 'maro, doesn't really matter, none of them are all that cherry and all require work to fit correctly........ Afraid it has to stay all stock looking, not much creativity allowed......dang it....:LOL::LOL:
I once painted a 68 camaro for a guy. Just got done spraying the urethane clear coat & left it to dry. The owner came by "feeling no pain". I told him I just put the final coat on it. He said can I see it? I said no, wait until it's dry. (you know what's coming right?). He said aw it won't hurt anything to just take a look ...... and he went in the paint room. He walked around the car and was lookin' it over. He said man that thing is so shiny it looks like it's still wet.....as he stuck his finger in the paint. Pulled up a nice stringy glob of clear and then looked at me like, you can fix that right???????
LOL's. Thats happened to me at least 3 times in the last 20 years. Now.....absolutely no one is allowed in the shop just before, during, or 2 days after. I'm a little psychotic when it comes to painting. Few people can appreciate the time that goes into prep and spray.

Here are some current pics of my '35 taken over the weekend. I can not take credit for the flush LED taillights, third light, recessed license plate (with gas filler behind) or the black epoxy, but I have been trying my hand at some smaller tasks. The brake lines are almost done, we're figuring out where exactly to mount the seats so its comfortable, installing the column/steering and then we'll run gas lines, continue polishing the intake manifold and buying shiny engine parts while trying to wire it up (modified stock harness by LT1 Wiring...seems fairly straight forward)...maybe we'll hear it run this summer! :D:toocool:

Nice lookin 35. I really like the custom detail work on the tail lights!
That car's got great lines, the LT1/6 gear is a great choice! I love the one in my Vette, it feels pretty durn quick for 300 HP.
thanks stovens...they should look cool when they blend in with the paint (candy apple or some metallic maroon color). They just ended up costing an arm and a leg :whacked:, but I certainly couldn't have done near as good a job.
falcon- I had the engine in my 97 SS and it was a fun car...I have a 96 Z now. The '35 should be lighter and eventually we will add a cam so it should have no problem getting out of its own way while getting 25mpg down the highway :toocool:
Neat coupe, 35.....Of course as a certified blue oval guy I would take issue with the powertrain selection....:LOL::LOL: But hey, it's kewl anway. Color choice sounds good, Candy Apple anything would be great!!!!
Dave, when you pass on we're all going to make sure your hearse is a small block powered GM product.:LOL:
