Mentor been waiting to see how the shop stuff is going . The Plymouth is going great you will put Overhauling out of business LOL oh they are already . Getting great Ideas from all of this you know refreshes the mind when it hasn't been used in a while . .

The Chevy looks more scary then a Mustang with rust . But they say the Goodmark panels work well with these cars is that what you will be using . You going to put you thumb print in the paint like the old guys used to do at the assembly plants .

Doing other people's car is a bit limiting, but I guess it pays the bills..... Don't know what brand of panels Bill ordered for the 'maro, doesn't really matter, none of them are all that cherry and all require work to fit correctly........ Afraid it has to stay all stock looking, not much creativity allowed......dang it....

I once painted a 68 camaro for a guy. Just got done spraying the urethane clear coat & left it to dry. The owner came by "feeling no pain". I told him I just put the final coat on it. He said can I see it? I said no, wait until it's dry. (you know what's coming right?). He said aw it won't hurt anything to just take a look ...... and he went in the paint room. He walked around the car and was lookin' it over. He said man that thing is so shiny it looks like it's still wet.....as he stuck his finger in the paint. Pulled up a nice stringy glob of clear and then looked at me like, you can fix that right???????

LOL's. Thats happened to me at least 3 times in the last 20 years. Now.....absolutely no one is allowed in the shop just before, during, or 2 days after. I'm a little psychotic when it comes to painting. Few people can appreciate the time that goes into prep and spray.

Here are some current pics of my '35 taken over the weekend. I can not take credit for the flush LED taillights, third light, recessed license plate (with gas filler behind) or the black epoxy, but I have been trying my hand at some smaller tasks. The brake lines are almost done, we're figuring out where exactly to mount the seats so its comfortable, installing the column/steering and then we'll run gas lines, continue polishing the intake manifold and buying shiny engine parts while trying to wire it up (modified stock harness by LT1 Wiring...seems fairly straight forward)...maybe we'll hear it run this summer!
