Bobby, it sez your storage space is full on PM's. so here's the answer to the last one you sent me...
Well, if my feeble memory is correct and it's the original carb on the original engine, could well be a 700 CFM... I'll see if it still has a tag on it in the morning, Denny might know, too..... Hard to say if it's original after all these years.....
Yeah, but it's almost 3 blocks to the coffee shop---twice a day---15 steps to the shop is all, most days I can walk that!!!!!   :LOL:Quote:

Oh well, it's my pride and joy anyway----Paid $800 for it about 10 years ago, put a couple tires on it and changed oil a few times, but that's it!!!! Heck, I don't have anything else I'll even take out on a cloudy day!!!  :LOL:Quote:

Chapel have those stool syle seats Dave :whacked:
Ok Boys, happiness abounds. She's officially a roller!
Looking good, Falcon! What's next on the agenda???
Falcon it is looking good . You going to run all the lines or replace body and work it for steering and engine placement .
Probably brake lines and then mount the drivetrain. Feels good to get to this point!
I bet feeling is great getting to this point . You"ve made alot of head way so keep the pics coming . I know i learn alot and ideas with the line running is allways helpfull. With all the heat this summer now raining the last few weeks garage has been closed .
That frame looks great Falconvan. Nice job.
You guys add to the fun, thanks for the kudos. My snooty non-automotive neighbor looked at it when i rolled it out and said,"All that work you've been doing and that's as far as you got?" I think I'll do a little grinding & hammering about 3am with the garage door open, just for him.
Heck, just let him enjoy his ignorance!!!!   He's about the same type as the clowns at the car show who tell you they could build one just like it for $5,000!!!!! No use trying to explain the build process to them, they wouldn't understand anyway!!!! :LOL:Quote:

Thanks Brick,
It's cool to have people who understand my obsession.
My son came over tonight and gave me a hand, havent seen him much since we finished his 69 Chevy truck so it was nice to have him over. We got a lot done, looks like the engine/trans is going to fit just fine! Time to start making mounts!:D :D :D
That is a nice fit. Those engines are getting more attractive all the time.
Tom
Should work out good, Falcon!! That amount of engine setback should certainly help out on a long and heavy car, makes the handling much better...
Even though i bleed blue Falcon that bow tie does look great . Before ya know it you'll be putting a wire to it .
Lookin' good falconvan .
I bought an intake today. I guess that's some progress???:whacked:
Pro then youll be flying by my house on the way to 66 .
It's just to get the carb hat & plumbing mocked up for now. But even a little progress is progress I guess.
Well pro? what did you get? you're killing us man
Standard deck Super Victor. Should be here Wed. :whacked:
Well, Bill and I are at it again....He got a '67 Mustang Coupe, a takeout 53,000 mile 5.4 Triton engine with AOD, complete wiring harness and accessories, some 1 1/2" X 3" rectangular tubing, an MII crossmember & hats, and some 1 1/2" round tubing. Should be fun!!!!!!! Stay tuned!!!!
Keep me tuned Dave i will be doing my Cpe also but not to drive . It will be going on the block to work the rod and fb . Getting out from a project is hard so i know will have to drive and have color on it .
Here he goes again!! At least he is picking on that blue oval, giving the bowtie boys a rest from the Choppers Axe!!
Got any pics of the cpe body before you guys start Dave?
It's a nasty one, gotta get some pics of it next week before we get started on it. Saved it from the crusher, anyway.... Just more work, no big deal!!!!  :LOL:Quote:

spindles are GM B-body with a C4 rack handling the turning chores.
Theres a few widgets and dammits yet to be completed, but the majority of the fab work is done.

Looks like the handling part of the Chevelle will be very impressive . This is what some vendors should do at shows . Drive a stock suspension car then get in one that has this type of work . Feeling the difference so close in time would be great .
Very clean looking set-up. Great job Doug.
Great looking chassis! Some very high quality work and craftsmanship!!!
Hey pro70, is that the big open plane manifold that you are getting?
I will believe it when I see it Dave, maybe just restoring the body will satisfy the urge to cut but the jury is out.
That is a really clean chasis Doug, what a great base for your project.
Yup, Likes lottsa' air & a fair amount of cubic inches.
I suppose then you'll throw one of those elephant foot looking monster carbs on there huh?
