Actualy looks like a really decent body Dave, enough to make a Ford man shutter in his sleep! I am looking forward to watching her come together with one of those DOHC engines, very cool.

Gonna be awhile...Got to get some stuff sold and some money and time freed up first. Doesn't mean I can't start planning and doing some parts chasing. hmmmm. Now which of the T-Birds had the 8.8 IRS....

help,i have a 350 sb with a E750 double pumper gas lines and i cant get the mixture right any suggestions with this problem

Idle mixture, part throttle, or full throttle? If it's a Holley, adjust the idle mixturewith the screws in the side of the metering block. An Edelbrock has mixture adjustment screws in the base of the carb on the fron Other mixture changes must be done by jetting with a Holley, metering rods and jets with an Edelbrock. Main thing to consider, unless it's a radical cam and big heads running a bunch of RPM that's way too much carb. A 600 CFM would work a lot better. If it's an automatic, I'd suggest a vacuum secondary instead of mechanical....

Once I got my little holley 650 sf/vac sec dialed in it has worked really well and is getting around 19 mpg.

Waiting for parts on the Merc, so I took a day off and worked on the Maro. Got the new rear window opening and sail panels roughed in, the bottom of the window opening is the new size, the top still needs an 8" wide piece welded in and the sides will have another 1 1/2" added to them. The new back window will be some 3/8" dark tint Lexan. Wish I had more time to finish it up!!! Here's some pics for you;

Never enough weekends i know . I'm working this weekend myself but not for me its for the company . Good thing is i have some aluminum there that the welders are working on for me .

Weekends??? Heck, the Hot Rods is all I do!!! Around here can't even tell when it is the weekend. I always know when it's Wednesday, though....both the Snap-on and Matco dealers come by the garage!!!!!:LOL: :LOL: :LOL:

PS---if you noticed in the background...that's my Ranchero that I haven't even touched in about a year.....So little time, so many projects!!!!!!!:LOL: :LOL: :LOL: Wouldn't have it any other way!!!!!!!!

I haven't posted in a while because I haven't got much garage time in. So I took three days off and told everyone I'll be outside. It felt good to make a little progress. i got the body back from the sandblaster; cut out the bad spots and gave it a couple good coats of etching primer. I also got the pads welded on the rearend, front suspension together, dropped spindles on, shocks relocated, disc brakes installed, and started building a crossmember for the rack and pinion. Whew! Oh yeah, also sold the 4.6 to a mustang guy and picked up a 2001 5.3 Vortec and a 4l60e. Too much fun; I wish I had about a month off!:3dSMILE:

Thanks Dave. I'm shooting for a goal of a rolling chassis with drivetrain mounted and body shell back on by April. That's 1 year from start. Hopefully I can stick to it, maybe even be a little further. You guys help keep me motivated! I can't wait to get some more done, snap a few new pics and get them posted!

My problem has never been the motivation to get projects done, usually it's the time, $$$$, or both!!!!!

Me either, I wonder what it would be like to be one of those TV guys that can just make a call and there is a crate LS1 on thier floor in 2 hours or a brand new chasis and the wife not giving "The Look!".! Wouldn't that be a wonderful world to live in.

My car goes in next weekend for it's final buff and shine. Finaly dang, I am glad to get that done.
