Well, if he is not interested in the car I sure as heck am interested in it! LOL
There's not much that can pull me away from the garage when i get a chance but I did spend a lot of time with my daughter and her baby this weekend. I did get time to load my body on the trailer and take it to the sandblasters. Hopefully have it back in a few days. I'll try and get some new pics posted next week, I've been making a lot of progress. I'm getting ready to set up the rack and pinion, any advice is welcome. Also that 4.6 didn't make the $400.00 reserve on e-bay so it's still available at that price if anyone's interested. It's got all the accessories, plus the engine cradle with the rack and pinion still bolted on. I'll throw in a factory Lincoln Mark VIII wiring manual with it. The engine ran really good when it was pulled and is fairly low mileage. (82,000). Will also trade for a 99-up 4l60E in good shape. :)

I want a fastback, everything I look at is nothing but a rust bucket, or spend $20k on a project to tear apart and redo... Thinking this just might be the way to go. The company is in Mesa, Az, sounds like an excuse to head south and catch some warm weather this winter!!! Maybe I'll find something else, but slim pickings for a decent fastback!!!!
Dave and Bobby, just on the serious side of thought, I bet the average rodder would probably spend the $15,000 trying to replace all the rust that he would find on a typical 67 or 68 fastback Stang here in the midwest. If (and that's a big if) I had the money I think that option would be the way I'd do it. JMHO
Fordman actually parts are fairly cheap for the 67-8 models , quarters being in the $200 range , trunk floors for $29 . My 67 i have replaced metal with a dime size rust out just because parts are so cheap to buy. FB quarters are just at $400 for a full panel .
The sheet metal is the cheap part, having to tie up all those dang hours to put the thing together would mean a bunch of time away from other projects that actually pay $$$$$. Even then, finding a decent '67 to start on would easily kill $5k!!! Lots of coupes around, but I gotta have a fastback!!!!
