MMMM 4.6 67 Stang wish the timing was right. You should have no trouble moving it either Falcon . One more hot Stang item looked for . Look into placing it in a Mustang forum im sure someone nearby you will see it . Also place the rearend in there . free to join and 1000"s of members. only took a little over a week to score the serpentine parts i needed .

Is this the SOHC or DOHC 4.6??? Might be interested!!!!

It's a DOHC out of a 95 Mark VIII; 82,000 mile engine with engine cradle. I put it on Ebay Saturday, there's a $400.00 reserve if anyone wants to bid on it. I think there's 4 days left. Engine ran very good.

Looking for a motor for the scooter Dave? I am a little blown away that the ford parts are so much more expensive than chevy, they made a million of them didn't they?

My pal with the chassis dyno does a lot of 4.6 engines, he's always looking for them so I gave him the headsup on this one. Ford parts aren't that much higher. They used to be, but the 5.0 Mustangs brought in a bunch of new aftermarket manufacturers making Ford parts.... Prices on Ford parts have gone down considerably since....

As for the 4.6 DOHC engines, I've seen some fantastic dyno numbers on them and rode in a couple of the cars with a modded 4.6 in them....Strong runners. Could even end up with one in the Ranchero some day!!!!!

Dave they are turning some impressive numbers with some bolt on hardware. Remember a article on the 04 or 05 that they worked and it was in the high 12's easily .

The big problem on these early Mark VIII motors is that the throttle body is in the back of the engine. Moving the engine foward for all the stuff to clear the firewall can cause some front clearance issues. Relocating it to the side can fix that but that leaves you to find a 96-98 Cobra intake which proved to be no easy or cheap task. Sullivan Performance makes aftermarket intakes for the later motors but not the early ones, and that's about it. A new Cobra intake from Ford is $3500.00! I couldn't find much in the way of stand alone wiring harnesses for under a grand, either. But I agree, the numbers are impressive. That's why I bought the thing in the first place. It'd look great in that Ranchero, Dave! There's plenty of room under that hood.

My pal Andy is using these older one's, too....not as a complete engine, but as spare parts... No idea what all he uses, or their interchangeability... I've seen a couple of the DOHC cars on his chassis dyno putting in excess of 600 to the ground with the Procharger system on them... With the towers out of the Ranchero, it would be an easy fit...along with one of the 6 speeds and the IRS could be a wild one!!!!!

Great job, Bobby!!! The tires are fitting the wheel wells great! Always one of the toughest things to get right on full fendered cars. When they're off, it ruins the looks of the entire car. Keep going on it, going to be a great driver!!!!

Looking good Bluestang, the stance is right on and I agree with Dave everything just seems to fit right.

Is this 4.6 engine you are talking about a 6 or 8 cylinder engine?

It's the Ford modular V-8. Comes in SOHC and DOHC versions. The DOHC has many performance goodies available for it, easily puts out 400+ horse. Ford also is producing one a bit bigger that is 302 cubes, will take the DOHC heads, and with a Procharger system on it, will do in excess of 500 RWHP and still be very streetable!!!!

That would be a great engine for one of your mercs Dave or a car like mine say any forty's model car with alot of engine compartment.

I found some rubber molding that worked perfect for running board in my car, I used F-26 to glue it down which I have never used on metal or rubber befor but it says it works so we'll see.

Just thought I would update everyone on the Nova!
