Those Mark engines are being put in vintage stangs alot. Like you say Dave right out of the box there impressive with performance in a lighter car . I pondered the thought before i sold the FB for one .

I got a new little gearhead in the family last night at 1am. This is Kayden, my first grandbaby. My daughter did great, she had a long day of it before they decided to do a c-section, but both mom and baby are doing well. I can't wait to build his first hot rod with him!:3dSMILE: :3dSMILE: :3dSMILE:

The Ford SHO will have Yamaha right on it but I'm not exactly sure where. I was thinking about putting one in my coupe a couple of years back but couldn't find one.
When I got back from hunting last fall I traded the two 26 T coupes I got from out there, my other two coupes and all my stock parts for a Cherry never been restored 27 Tudor Sedan with matching numbers. Then I realized I didn't have a coupe to build a street rod with so I bought one back from him. Last weekend I drove up to St Cloud MN and got another really rough 26 Tudor with doors. I traded two carbs for it.
The Mustang I told you about is gone. My son still has his though but it ain't for sale.
I'm at the point of ordering a dropped axle assembly, tires, and radiator for the coupe. Been putting it off because of the expense AND I've doing a lot of riding around on my 88 Yamaha Venture motorcycle.

Actually, I don't think that's a Mark VIII motor with the throttle body in the back. That sounds more like a Lincoln Continental (96-03). I've owned two of them (cars) and the motor (4.6 DHOC) sets side ways and the throttle body is to the left which would be at the rear on a rear wheel drive car. But I do love that motor. My driver is currently a 99 Continental with the DOHC and is a riot to drive in city traffic when some ricer pulls up next to you at a stop light. :LOL: :LOL: :LOL:

Lincoln Mark Vlll

"Lincoln Continental" Front wheel drive, 4 door sedan, Nice vehicle also. And not near as big, or as heavy as a Town Car.

And that thing is a terror on the streets. It really surprised me when I got the chance to drive it. I masehd the throttle like I was in my v-6 pickup and roasted a set of tires before I wanted to get out of the gas! LOL

It really throws you back on the seat. I also like the tunable suspension that the car has. I like the sport setting for rat-racing around town, but the cruise setting is great on the back! LOL
