Beautiful coupe and it has enough motor to be a willys! Nice looking ride, got the right stance, won't be long now huh?
Just a quick post to wish Brick well, sorry you have to leave that 'Cuda go but your '48 should still be fun. I am hunkered down during the cold weather working on another book that might actually make a few dollars this time but overall I am much better spending than making money so it is just to keep me busy in a warm place for a few months. Even though we have had daytime highs in the '40s for a few days, there are still big piles of snow here and there including a pile in front of my garage door so I stay indoors and am writing but I like to keep up with the Forum. For Falcon Van I think the logo on the side of the truck should be "I Scream" in an arc of letters over an "eye", why not? Hey why not go all the way to "Eye Scream" over a bloodshot "eye"?

here's the chassis I made for it..
We used to have problems with spam and porn from first time posters.... So since then all new forum members have to reach a certain number of posts, like 10 or something until their post appear right away. For the first posts by a new member the moderator will have to see and approve them before they are posted. A bit of an inconveinence, but it sure has cut down on the spam!!!!
I hear ya.. I signed up a while back.. And everytime I tryed to post it wouldn't let me.. So I left in never tryed again into today.. Now It's the same thing.. I do understand.. I am a memeber over at Hotrodders.com. My name there is New Interiors.. I'll keep trying..
Heres the chassis I hand made for my willys..
Great lookin' chassis, No Limits! Heck, the entire car is really first rate!
Haven't got much done on my own stuff lately....too busy on other people's projects... So today I'm going to sneak out to the shop and work on getting the racerback fairing and tailgate welded up for my pickup...(Yeah, I know...I'm slow). and hopefully get them done and painted some time next week...well maybe the week after that, but soon!!!!!!:LOL:
Thanks for the kind words....:) Believe me,,, I know all about working on other peoples cars..**) I haven't worked on my willys in a while..
No LIMIT, the kind words u have recieved on ur WILL are well deserved IMHO and thas my opinion BFORE i saw the chasis; absolutely immaculate my fellow car crafter, like the chevy commercial claim, that is "Proffessional Grade"!!!
Thanks..:)

BTW, a few pics of the Bmer going, for a not very effective to race, from a Coan TH400 Race Trans w/ Ballon plated 3500 custon 10" verter to a Tremec TKO600 5spd manual Trans, some parts used to complete said conversion, and a shot of the Ford 9" axle w/ Strange Alum center section on Mopar/Mancini/Southside Machine Super Stock Leaf suspension w/ Adjustable pre-Load Links. The Mopar set-up is actually FOR a 68 A-Body Hemi Cuda Race Car. The axle also includes Moser 31 spline axles, Richmond 3.50-1 gear and Wilwood 13" dual piston caliper Disc brakes. Also a Shot of some of the parts incorporated into the lil 464 Cube 70 Stage 1 455 Buick engine that now rests in the car. Tho i CALL this the Bmer's peanut mtr its actually gone faster than either a 523 or a 535 Stage 2 Based engine that i have had in the car and has lasted 4 times as long as both of those put together. Mainley because both of the strokers were actually more engine than i could do much effectively with in the car with the small tires, and while im able to spray a total of 300bhp in 2 stages into the peanut mtr, any attempt to spray either of the strokers resulted in even SLOWER ET's than on mtr, and THAT was when i was still runnin the 464 w/ stock exhaust manifolds to avoid havein to craft both a Stage 1 AND a Stage 2 set of headers. Stage 1 and Stage 2 455 Buick exhaust do NOT INTERCHANGE.
The block hugger shorty headers on the wall are the Stage 1 i bought for the car AFTER the demise of the 535 Stroker when the 464 again found its way under the Hood of the car. The Cowl lift off app for the Hood was a conversion that occured during the installation of the 1 Stroker mtr. Previous pics of the car are when it had the stock, stock rearward opening Hood and the lil 464 had a Old Offy B4B intake and an 850 CFM annular discharge Holley Carb atop a 2 stage Cheater wet plate nitrous system.
As the Stage 1 mtr is in the car presently it uses the KB/TA WildKat Kool Runner Dominator Intake with 2 Stage Dominator Big Shot Wet Nitrous plate and 1050 Holey Dominator carb that was the induction for the 2 Stroker engines. while Stage 1 and Stage 2 exhaust will NOT interchange, the intakes will.
Tho all engines in the car have used a stock GM dist housing w/ GM Heavy duty Bronze breaker, all other ignition components have always been MSD 7AL3 w/Blaster 3 coil
Although i believe this is among the most unique Street and Strip combinations to come down the pike, It ain't NO LIMIT RAD, n THAS a fact!!!
I took advantage of having MLK day off work and got a solid 12 hours in the garage today. Lots of little stuff done: Sanded and painted the column and the brake pedal assembly, started looking at how to make a new front clip; the original is one piece but I'm going to make the side pieces seperate and the front will bolt on. I cut up the sides off of the old one, I think i'll try and make them first. I started cutting the front piece out of some 16 gauge but the jaws on my air shear broke so that was as far as I got on that. I sanded for a long time on the doghouse; I can't believe how much paint was on this thing but I finally got it finished. I had to drill some holes and cut a small access panel in it for when I bolt it all together. Once again had to push the truck out to clean up all the sanding dust, it gets overwhelming. Finally I had to nothch the frame for the drivers side header so i got that finished, too.
A few more....
Here's the last of them.
falc, why u already showin UP the lazy bones among us, thas cold....it ain't even Feb yet n ur already ahead of me by a couple months on this years hot rod season...man u ain't right, slow down....LOL....JK....geterdone
Good plan Falcon! The removable section on the engine cover should make things a lot more accesible! That big old Oldsmobubble should fit right in there now!
Thanks, guys! It was warm here for January; about 45 degrees so I didn't have to run the shop heater too much. It's moving right along, I'm still hoping for a spring launch.
I too like the idea of the extra door, your thinking on your feet falcon, and getting some work in. It's nice not to have to run a heater so much huh?
Yeah, after two weeks of highs in the teens, 40+ degrees feels pretty good. How about yourself, Brick? You been feeling well enough to get out in the garage?
Got the side pieces started; now I have to find someone with a brake big enough to bend a 5 foot piece of 16 gauge.
Falcon what is your name ?? You just do some tremendous work when you get going . Some service work guy going into business will be happy with this one when you sell it .
You bet Falcon, I went up and dusted the old girl off this afternoon. I pulled the fuel tank to put in a new sending unit. It started raining so I'll finish her in the am and then take her for a spin, its been 10 months since I have heard her run so I am excited.
Right on, Brick. I'll bet it will feel great to back behind the wheel again. Bobby, I'll send you a PM with my contact info.
What do you guys think of these?
I like them, what kind are those they look good. I was thinking of these for the barracuda at one time. I like those alot better.
Made by ION; there's not a lot of choices out there for the size this thing needs but I kind of like these.
I do to falcon, they kind of remind you of the old grey spoke wheels with the aluminum outer rim, very cool.
I kinda like the Torque Thrust look myself . Falcon what are they 16.5s finding anything in this size is a chore .
No, it's a 15". They're a 5x5.5 pattern with a 4.25" center. The only thing I can find with those specs are 4WD wheels and I'm just not finding many that I like. It's the big center that seems to be the sticking point. I wanted a stock steel wheel with a baby moon but nobody makes them with that big center unless you special order and pay. I'm still looking...
Try Rally America they can & will make just about anything & is a Family owned business. Plus they get great reviews from the members over on HAMB about thier work, price & delivery time..
I wonder how much a machine shop would charge to cut the center out of a smoothie for you?
I dont know, Brick. I'll have to look into that. Thanks for the tip, Joe. I'll try them and see what they say. What do think of this for a logo? Some guy on the HAMB drew it.
That is cool falcon, I like it. That ol boy has some talent doesn't he?
