True Story-New Neighbors House
A true Story - New Neighbors House
Read the story below before you look at the pictures.
This is a true story, it happened in Utah and was on the news!
I thought each of you could use a little comic relief today. Here's the
story. A city councilman, Mark Easton, lives in this neighborhood. He
had a beautiful view of the east mountains, until a new neighbor
purchased the lot below his house and built. Apparently, the new home
was 18 inches higher than the ordinances would allow, so Mark Easton,
mad about his lost view, went to the city to make sure they enforced the
lower roof line ordinance.
Mark and his new neighbor had some great arguments about this as you can
imagine - not great feelings. The new neighbor had to drop the roof line
-
no doubt at great expense.
Recently, Mark Easton called the city and informed them that his new
neighbor had installed some vents on the side of his home. Mark didn't
like the look of these vents and asked the city to investigate. When
they went to Mark's home to see the vent view, this is what they
found...

Why GM (and Ford) are in trouble
Corporate Ingenuity in America
A Japanese company ( Toyota ) and an American company (General Motors) decided to have a canoe race on the Missouri River .
Both teams practiced long and hard to reach their peak performance before the race.
On the big day, the Japanese team won by a mile.
The Americans, very discouraged and depressed, decided to investigate the reason for the crushing defeat.
A management team made up of senior management was formed to investigate and recommend appropriate action.
Their conclusion was the Japanese team had 8 people rowing and 1 person steering, while the American team had 8 people steering and 1 person rowing.
So American management hired a consulting company and paid them a large amount of money for a second opinion.
They advised that too many people were steering the boat, while not enough people were rowing.
To prevent another loss to the Japanese, the American's rowing team's management structure was totally reorganized to 4 steering supervisors, 3 area steering superintendents and 1 assistant superintendent steering manager.
They also implemented a new performance system that would give the 1 person rowing the boat greater incentive to work harder.
It was called the "Rowing Team Quality First Program," with meetings, dinners and free pens for the rower
There was discussion of getting new paddles, canoes and other equipment, extra vacation days for practices, and bonuses.
The next year the Japanese won by two miles.
Humiliated, the American management laid off the rower for poor performance, halted development of a new canoe, sold the paddles, and canceled all capital investments for new equipment.
The money saved was distributed to the Senior Executives as bonuses and the next year's racing team was outsourced to India .
Welfare workers log entry
A guy walks into the local welfare office, marches straight up to the
counter and says, "Hi... You know, I just HATE drawing welfare. I'd
really rather have a job."
The social worker behind the counter says, "Your timing is excellent.
We just got a job opening from a very wealthy old man who wants a
chauffeur/bodyguard for his nymphomaniac daughter.
You'll have to drive around in his Mercedes, but he'll supply all of
your clothes. Because of the long hours, meals will be provided.
You'll be expected to escort her on her overseas holiday trips.
You will have to satisfy her sexual urges. You'll have a two-bedroom
apartment above the garage. The starting salary is $200,000 a year".
The guy says, "You're bullshittin' me!"
The social worker says, "Yeah, well...you started it."
