I think it is time for this truck to go to the next level...I'm gonna get rid of the rust and paint the truck.

I have a decent 3 window cab that will simplify a lot of the rust repair. Trying to decide if I should make another dash like this one or try something different.

I won't give up on Roofus, but the truck overhaul may cut into its quality time. It all depends on how crazy I get with the rebuild.

Cool to see it running and logging on some miles. I enjoyed watching this build and the roofus special.

I always say, they are never really done. It is great that you have had a chance to enjoy the truck. Times change and we change. Good luck on the transformation and I look forward to some pics of the process.

It's fun and it has character....but it is still a really rotten truck. ...... it NEEDS a fresh cab!

Heck mate, there are guys paying good dollars for a painter to squirt that sort of finish on to their cars and you have the original stuff. Is the cab really rusty underneath or as it appears, a nice straight body with that lovely old aged look???

At the bottom of the doors, the inside and outside panels don't touch. There is about a 3 inch gap...same for the cab corners. The worst rot is in the roof above the windows....you can see daylight above the window seals. I think mice built nests in the headliner.

I replaced the floors and beefed things up with a 1x2 tube frame under the floor, but didn't repair anything that would be visible from the otside of the truck.

I have a really nice, rust free cab that could be swapped over, but it doesn't have the cool looking weathered farm truck look.

I never got around to swapping cabs. I guess the rusty truck will live another rod season.
