Looks like you're about ready to get back to work Pro!!!!! Nice sized equipment and very nicely set up to be accessible! The bike wheel is a great idea!!! The turning should be a lot more steady then with the handle. One small mod I put on my bead roller is a "T" handle on the bolt that tightens the rollers, beats the heck out of fumbling around with a wrench!!!!
I made a "T" handle for mine too. Only problem.......:eek:. the bolt I used was the wrong size. :( I do believe*the bolt needs to be metric. :D

Got the garage cleaned out enough to set the 'maro down to ride height...not too bad, top of the roof is 49" from the floor. Getting some of the suspension mounts installed for the rear end, and some more bracing for the unibody
As always been working on it but can't keep with you guy's LOL . I did get the left side of body ,stripped it and the front fenders . Worked the roof also from where the top held moisture for so long . Surprising its not really pitted as bad as it could be .

It is really, really tempting to set a Ford in the 'maro---but it's being built for resale, just not sure how many would be interested in a Ford powered chebbie..... and now that I was given a 383 for it....well, guess it's gonna be all chebbie....

Yup, most everything you see around here for a toter is either a Ford or a Dodge....If I get the time next spring, might start on a new toter for me....Old Ford body with a 12 valve Cummins (Dodge) with a 5 speed.... As for the Hemi's, they're kewl engines and work out quite well in the cars, but for a truck I got to have a diesel, thank you....
As to the 'maro, it's already up for sale....a few of the local boys have looked at it, think they may get more interested once the suspension and body work is done.... Just like everywhere else, everybody is an engine "expert" but few have any understanding or interest in a chassis that might actually be able to hook up the power!!!!!!!!
...the best possible combo......a Ford body/chassis and a Cummins engine - even the later 24V version. I would have bought that in a heartbeat instead of the V10. For a diesel all Ford offers are those maintenance nightmares, the 6.0 and 6.4. The Ford Truck Enthusiasts web site has one very long thread with that conversion but I lost that particular threads link.Quote:
