It's tough, Dave.... but knowing that when the 'maro is all done and sold the money will be going for Ranchero parts, well, I guess that's the thing that keeps me going on it. All of the Ford guys around have established a boycott of my garage til it's gone!!!!! I tell ya what, after being one of the Ford Only guys around here for so many years, I catch a bunch of **** about building a 'maro everyday---even if it is just for resale!!!!! A few months back some of the chebbie guys even went so far as to send me a card congratulating me on my "rebirth"----it had almost 100 signatures on it!!!!!!

I guess I can almost see your point - as long as the 'Maro is a passing fancy to an end (Ranchero). I get a bunch of the same garbage here from the Chebbie guys as to why do I stick with Ford when their brand is so easy to build and get parts. My answer is that life is not a dress rehearsal and since you only pass by here once, it might as well be done the right way.
Another thing to lay on the Chebbie owners - I was at Williams Grove Speedway outside of Mechanicsburg, PA a couple of months ago as a change from my normal local tracks - and the tow vehicles, and I checked how many of each brand were hauling their Chebbie race cars - and without exaggeration it was approximately 80% FORD with the rest split between Chebbie/GMC and Dodges (you know the sales BS - it's a hemi
). This is the same kind of percentage I see at any race track I attend, plus people pulling big campers and even as a corporate work truck
