Everybody that is currently building a car...

Actually got a bit of work done over the weekend for a change!!!!! Got the panels for the inside of the box on the '71 pick-em-up etched, primed, and painted white, should be able to reinstall them this week. Nothing much left but to skin, prep, and paint the racerback fairing and the tailgate and it'll be done and ready to go up for sale finally!!!!!

Drug out the front fenders and deck lid for old Buford. They were sandblasted a few years back by the previous owner, then left laying around in the shop.... Had to spot-blast a few spots, then sand, etch, and prime.... Might actually get Buford in the garage sometime this year!!!!

Before quitting today, we put Greg's '68 Galaxie in the shop. Going to get going on it now... Refitting some seats out of a Grand Marquis, install some patch panels on the rear quarter, and bend up and install all new brake lines!!!!! The rust around here has turned them into junk so the best way is to start over with all new lines....

A good weekend, lots of little things got caught up, great weather, worked on Hot Rods, played with my Grandaughter for awhile, just generally a good time!!!

No progress for me Dave, but glad your making headway. I went up to a friends house in the country solitude, shot the new glock at a few tin cans, tried my friends 270 deer rifle which I'll be borrowing until I get my own, and went to a 4H benefit dinner, bid 75 bucks and won 25 pounds of grass fed beef! Nice relaxing weekend, but not much progress. Hopefully Next friday when my friend is in town we can try and get the truck moving!Pretzel and Tiva enjoyed the change in scenery too! On a car note, saw quite a few exotics on a road rally thru there, and a lot of old stock T's doing some sort of group event. All and all nice weekend!

Got a start on the firewall. NOt too fire resistant at tnis point. :whacked:

I think duct tape instead of masking tape might help with the fireproofin' deal, Pro........

I still line my hat with aluminium foiled to keep the FBI from reading my mind!!!!! Gonna order some unobtanium tomorrow to build my motor plates wit!!!!!!

Before I start the firewall I wanted to get the English Wheel built. Ran into a little snag though. I made up the bottom anvil assembly last night. Cut the frame parts out today. Got a couple pcs. clamped together to weld.......and then stripped the threads out of the torch head on the TIG. and it's saturday.

thats some thick flat plate thats alum? or steel .you cut that out with a 1/8 mill ??? that must of been a job

Yup it's aluminum. I cut it out with a 1/4" end mill, but on the CNC, so it wasn't much work.

Looks good Pro! Too bad about the TIG--but then that stuff always does happen when the welding store is closed, doesn't it?????? Heck, I ran out of energy today, called the parts store, and wouldn't ya know???? It's on back order!!!!!!
