Joe....that first picture of the Vicky struck a familiar pose. This is my
Model A after we set it on the new TCI frame. I put in all Bitchin'
products metal firewall and floorboards, and chucked all the wood.
I used a deuce grill shell, and had a new hood fabricated. Mine has
wire wheels as well.
I love your project, that will be fun. :3dSMILE:
Daver.
Well I got my running boards back from being sandblasted, looks like I'll be doing a little welding on them. One of them had bondo filling up the holes. One headlight ended up a little thin too but the other pieces look pretty good.
I figured my taxes yesterday, have to pay into the state of Minnesota (Land of 10,000 taxes) but getting enough back from Uncle Sam to pay the state off.:whacked:
Sap started running yesterday, collected 110 gallons and cooked off about 75gallons, got home at 1:30 this morning, going back there this afternoon and will be cooking until the wee hours of the night again.
I looked at Itoldyouso truck this morning the 39 Dodge. I looked at my 39 Chevy and I think it's now or never, I have to do something even if it's wrong.
I hope I can get some advice on this when I start pulling it apart.

That Vicki is sweet, very nice stance with that frame and suspension. Its going to be a beauty.
That truck is in really good shape ford2custom, are you going to get it?
Thanks that makes me feel better.
I bought the truck about ten years ago; I just haven't started what I wanted to do. It was really in good shape when I bought it but ten years sitting outside has really taken a toll.
I was looking at Itoldyouso 39 Dodge and went to my truck to see how bad it is getting. The windshield used to crank out but I'm going to try to put WD 40 all over the hood hinges plus the doors. This year I'm going to take the cab off one way or the other.

Got some primer on the coupe today.... Had so many different shades and textures it was difficult to tell straight from wavy so I made it all one color so I can see where I'm at on it!!!! Didn't used to have to do this, must be one of them old age things or something?????  I alos replaced the stock stamped steel braces below the rear side windows with some thin wall square tube, then further reinforced it to the door jamb with some smaller square tube. Getting closer to done, anyway!!!!!
Dave great transformation . You spent some time pinging and dinging to get that body close . Said this before like sheet metal but hate plastic i spend way to much time on it . My pay would be about 13 cents a hour .
Well, this one's for Tom....not really a matter of making money on it...got all summer to do that on the Mercs and other projects we have going. Been a tough winter on me this year, I named Tom's coupe "Therapy" a long time ago!!!!!!  :LOL:Quote:

Your right about every day . I tried it and get tired fast after work . More done on weekends when momma works and i'm not dead beat lazy . Like when the son's come over with some spirit and we get out there . Then we stop working and get to close to the fridge LOL.
Yeah, getting too close to the fridge will definitely cause a work stoppage!!!! Gave up that stuff years ago, nothing but drinking coffee now..... Well, not so much drinking coffee, more like being the middle mad for the coffepot and the john!!!!! Same thing as drinking beer I guess, you never really do buy it, just rent it for awhile!!!!!!  :LOL:Quote:
