Everybody that is currently building a car...

Well, I got a good share of a day in on the "Z". Had a few customers drop off & pick up stuff, but that was purdy' much over by noon. I finished up the rocker panel body mounts & then started on the firewall. I used my trusty Menard's laser to mark out where I wanted to cut it. Then chopped off 46 lbs. of stuff. (If you count the 20lbs. I cut off a couple weeks ago. Spent a lot O' time figuring how I'm gonna' put the firewall back together. I think I have a plan so everything will look like it's spoz' to be where it's spoz' to be.
Then I stuck the front end on to see how it fit with the firewall out of the way. I had some real clearance issues before but now that the pinch welds are out of the way it fits much better. There's gonna be a bunch of work to do on the fiberglass once I start that project.
All in all it was a purdy' good day.

All I can say is WOW!! That is a very impressive engine Pro60, that just blows my mind, I bet that baby is truely a blast to drive!

Couple of great looking Chevy's going together their, guys!!! Congrats on some excellent worksmanship to both the "Pros"!!! This should make the rest of us remember how important the details, fit, and finish really are to the overall appearance of a performance car!!! Thanks to both of you for the motivation!!!!

I grew some new aches and pains after working on the car all day yesterday. I was twisting and turning in ways that my body didn't like. Oh well, nothing I can do about that. I did get quite a bit of the pain-in-the-neck stuff done though. Replacing the year old grade 8 nuts and bolts with new ones, which gives me a chance to make sure everything is nice and tight. When the engine blew last season, the car shook so violently that it managed to loosen things that I thought wasn't possible.

Thats exciting Pro70, maybe making some passes before the end of the year huh?

I got my new rocker moldings on now so the next step for me will be the new electric wiper motor.

But the real question is how many rubber burning sounds did Pro make sittin on a milk crate with those front wheels in the air.................:rolleyes:

I found from my truck ,it helps to tilt the head back when making the rubber burning sounds:LOL: It adds to the authenticity;)

Brick the Chevy is looking great . See it made a debut in the line up .

Those are both some sweet looking rides. I've always been a fan of the whale tail on that year of full size Chevy. Keep them pics comin, can't wait to see the finished products.
Here's the project Plymouth update; after two weeks of trying to get out in the garage between everything else going, on the frame is close to stripped, I built a body cart and set the body on it, bought a disc brake kit, rack and pinion, and some Fatman's 3" dropped spindles. Stay tuned for more.........

Falcon those are a couple great looking line cars.

Falcon also looks like your wearing out the wrenches in the garage. See lots of headway there and no chairs to sit and ponder in . Is the fan keeping that 4.6 cooled off .

I have figured out what your doing Pro70, you have downloaded those bad ass engine sounds off of the comp cams website and you play them full blast on the shop stereo!! Man, thats even better yet!!!

You've been busy Falcon, car is looking good so far, pretty good shape.

This reminds me of when my wife walked in the garage and I was sitting on the floor of the bare body holding up a steering wheel. I guess we never grow up....:) Thanks for all the comments, guys; you're building some great looking rides. It's been a few years since I got to work on one of my own projects; I'm enjoying it very much. This website is a great motivator.:D

Got my package from Jerry Bickel today. Bad news is they sent me smooth bore pin & block u-joints. (I already have a pair of those. ) Called em' up and they are sending out the splined needle bearing units. Good news,

BTW: I also got my new Grant steering wheel W/ button. When I had it in my hands I almost slipped & did a V-A-R-O-O-M but I caught myself just in time. That was close.
