Heck, if all my past dues just paid up, could finish the Ranchero and we could both spend the winter down there!!!!!!!!    a one man shop should not have 5 digit accounts receivables!!!!!! (yeah, I know who's fault it is!!!)Quote:

I used a wire feed the other day myself, welded up a pipe bracket so I could bolt it between two walls to hang Pots & Pans up in the main kitchen. Will be drilling holes in the pipe and attaching hooks next week.
Today I finished my project of applying the tape, joint compound and primer to the prayer room I was working on - my "body work and priming" looks pretty good too.
Going over to Brandenton, near Tampa, tomorrow for some R&R, maybe even go swiming and see the Gulf. Decided not to go to the swap meet, if I'm still here the first weekend of March I'll go then.
The pictures are of an area that I drive past everyday going to work, yes Spring is coming.
Keep up the good work, and stay warm.
Doesn't look much like my neighborhood this time of year, Tom!!!!! I sure am ready for some of that spring weather, though it is supposed to get to 30 or so tomorrow!!! Still way too cold for me!
We're going to Austin Tx. in September for a wedding,,,,, might even do some house looking while I'm there, or at least a place to hang out in the winter!!!!
Dang rear end shop STILL not finished with my rearend, they ordered a pinion seal and it's taking forever. I made a great score at work. A company in my building moved their IT dept to an offsite location and gave me this cool rack that used to hold big power supplies. It's made of Unistrut and angle iron and it's making a perfect frame for the bed! Also, here's some tail lights I'm making out of some weird light fixtures that used to be above our security desk. I'm using connecting rods for brackets.
Should make a great box frame, and certainly can't beat the price!!!!
Got a bit of work done today, blocking on the side of the coupe and replace a couple panels on the inner wheel wells that had some surface rust on them. One side was the battery tray and the battery will be in the trunk now. Battery trays always wind up looking nasty so I just cut both sides out and am installing some new 20 ga. Might even have lost a couple more pounds on weight!!!!!
Looks good, Dave. You've been busy lately!
Yep watching all of Dave's work going on is better then any series iv'e seen on tv . He has lot more projects and keeps the custom to restore subject in motion .
Falcon your truck is changing fast . I should be warming garage but the family is coming over so one more day down .
Thanks guys... I got to stay busy, they don't let me out of the shop very often, ya know!!!! Got the heat turned up in the garage and just about ready to get at it!
Going to keep blocking on Tom's coupe today, and maybe set the hood back on the 'maro and start whittling out some sheet metal for the front end.... Working in the small garage is a lot different from having the big shop.... Can't just keep bringing them in, actually have to get something done now!!!! That, and no hired help to blame when things don't get done!!!!!
Dave sometimes help dont have to be hired . I learned everything i know by volunteer work. The gave me little things then to sanding for prep. Now not everybody can learn this business but you might find a natural.
That's how I learned too!!! Most of the kids that come around now want to know how much you'll pay them to help ya!!!!! Then, if you're lucky, they'll let you work on their car for free!!!! Go figure!!!!  :LOL:Quote:

I'm watching the PBA this morn at 11:30 . Think i may go out though till then and get the trans pump going .
You motivated me, Dave. I got out there today and welded in the rails for my gas tank and got it mounted. I used the tank out of that 50 Dodge I bought for parts. I got lots of good stuff out of that heap for myself, sold $500 in parts from it, and just sold the carcass last night for $100. Not bad for a $250 investment.:)
