May is a bad month for car stuff.
After spending a month at the weight loss clinic, the car finally came home roughly 250lbs lighter. The doors and fenders are being painted and will be ready in a couple of weeks. Besides the doors and fenders being replaced with fiberglass pieces, the rocker panels were removed and replaced with 22gage steel. The firewall also got shaved a little in the areas that won't effect the integrity of it.

Looking Lean and Mean Pro60, that should gain you some grunt! Nice work, are there going to be racing clips again this year?
Thanks!! With the improvements in the engine department and the weight loss, we're hoping to knock off more than a second off last year's best ET.
Video for sure, our first race will be on the 26th of this month.
Thats a big gain pro60, that would be fun. I am looking forward to the clips, I always like to see the cars we watch get built go down the road(or track as it may be) and yours has been very entertaining.
I had to by a new toy Dave, how many of these old El Camino's are still around? It's fun to drive and I will have fun building it up as soon as my old chevy is back on the road for the year.
Did lots of little stuff to the '48 this weekend, hooked up horns, gas grommets, window rubbers, hood rubbers, curtiousy lights that kind of stuff. Next will be put on the new rocker moldings, new shinnys are always fun!
I'm startin' to get the ''refrigerator'' mocked up for the "Z". Looks like I'll be able to get it stuffed under the dash. Won't be much room left, but it'll fit. :D
Mike the Caaa is lookin' good.
Looks like things are moving right along in that garage. I worked on the other end of my car tonight. No room left for a spare tire or a jack.

It was suggested to me to get a luggage rack.
NO
I said to myself

You'll never even be able to fit a six pack in that refrigerator, Pro Z!!!!!
As for me, nothing new. Sanding on the Merc by day, wet sanding pickups by night!!!!
You could always pull whats left on a trailor Pro70! By the way, could you find any bigger of an engine?
I think that I see enough room for a "pint of the blarney" in there Pro60, a very small one! That looks good, very clean.
It took me 90 minutes but the results were very rewarding, and as promised, the engine now resides where it should.
