shouldn't be the cause, that would only make sense if motor torqued heavily from side to side. as you probably know the Ford 200 I6 has the starter ring gear on the torque converter. if that's what's grinding, prolly gonna need a new 1, which will be expensive.You don't know what you've got til it's gone
