    Thanks for the comments!

Today was paint day for the remaining bus parts. One hood, three rear skirts, and attaching hardware.. After a sealer coat of SPI Epoxy..

    And our yellow...

We'll let these cure a bit and get 580 put back together this weekend..

That looks very nice. Do you always use the black sealer? I'm guessing this is the preferred one you like to use?

I've been using black for the bus parts to try and tone down the brightness as they tend to fade quite a bit after a few years. On this one I also added some flattening agent so it wasn't so loud like the roof repair.

Today the hood was reinstalled, all the bits bolted back together, and the rear skirt replaced..

All together and ready for pick up tomorrow..

Nice work! Did you use a jig saw with a guide bolted to the center to cut the round hole? it looks like a perfect hole is why I'm asking.

I started with finding hole center, punching, then a set of dividers to mark the outside perimeter. A thru hole was done with a hole saw, then my vise mount jigsaw with optional cruise control was employed for freehand cutting. I've found if you take your time you can be fairly accurate in your cuts. Even with such a sketchy arrangement.

In wood or aluminum I really like a router with a circle jig for making near perfect holes. I may use your vice jig saw idea for some stuff though.

On a side note, officially gave Photobucket the boot as my subscription expired last Friday. Robert isn't paying their extortion fees. Surprised the pictures are still showing...

Got a message Monday night from a buddy whose father is a retired body man. His dad was looking to sell some of his tools, and I was happy to give them a new lease on life. Picked these up yesterday, a bumper puller, body hammers, vise grips, dollys, rivet kit, and some w/d paper. Some of these I didn't have, so pretty stoked. Even a Herbrand VL-540 valve lifter...

Touching up the hammer faces to remove some of the nicks....

Picked up the Ball Peen that he had so I could make a hammer for better flattening tucks for shrinking
