The 305 engine is gonna be a lot of money spent. Your better off just going with a 350, they are a dime a dozen. The reason why 305's don't make much power is because of their small cylinder bores. You can't put anything bigger than a 1.94 valve in 'em because of that. The small bore will shroud the bigger valves. That 400hp build seems nice but look at the money put into it and consider a 350 would have made at least 50hp more with the same cost or even less done to it. Just my opinion, but then again I'm all about horsepower for buck. I'm more of a 400 small block kind of guy.
