Then we had my uncle come up who spent his career as an art teacher, he taught us a bunch of stuff about art and color wheels and helped us decide on upholstery colors, Now we are pulling the engine again soon and tearing it apart cause it needs to be repainted. It was orange when I got it and I just knew I didn't want it black or purple so I left it alone... Total pain in the ass but it needs to look like we had a plan and knew what we was doing. :D
See, I told you, it's beautiful! The truck that is!! LOL
Got the cab moved over and engine repainted.

It is looking very nice! Great work!
Quick little video since it's hard to photograph the paint, better in person.

Nice video, that color is really "right" on the truck, anxious to see it with the front sheet metal and box installed!

Sound deadening I think is pretty much done, wiper motor is in, couple dash items in place, headliner arrived, seat pans mounted, one seat in, need other seat in so we can mock up and build a center console.
Sat in it and made some engine noises
Attachment 74983
Nice, love your gauges and dash.
vroom vroom! LOL.. as always - looks nice
It's looking very nice! I really want some dakota digital gauges for mine but I have other places that money could go unfortunately.
Couple glass items installed, seats, engine items assembled. Carpet on the way, need to build a center console, figure out seat and door panel design...

Fun stuff, looking forward to getting to that point on my truck.
Got some of the carpet started, get some of that done so we can put wiring harness and other inner firewall stuff in. I think 4 hides ordered for the rest.

Also I wanted to point out this firewall recess we made for my distributer many years back, I refer to it now as "The Fordskin"
Attachment 75052
Bunch of little things still going on.
Finished mounting and cutting plug wires, wipers on.

Carpets are looking pretty good, dual master cylinders mounted, mounted a lokar pedal pad to the wilwood brake stuff, working on the plumbing to chassis and the line lock.

Attachment 75132
Also have 4 very large hides hanging up for the upholstery.
Attachment 75133
Did you make your own carpet?
Is that a glue on piping around the edges?
Okay so the carpet edges are both sewn on top then folded to the bottom and glued.
