I been busy, many small things been done on the turd.

I really wish I could find a passenger rear fender but have had zero luck so far, I am asking around at some local shops on fixing the one I have and it's super expensive... This driver rear doesn't look too bad, lots of little dents and dings but I think we can hammer and shrink all that stuff. Also put the coupe tail lights in.

Here is what has been happening to seat mount stuff retaining the original seat riser, keeping it clean and being able to hide items underneath.

Thanks for the update, those doors look very nice. Without looking, the speedway fenders must be pretty reasonable.
You guys do such nice work! I'm certain this truck will be a showstopper once you finish it.
The doors look great! And your approach, using the Speedway rears to get it done is the right approach too, IMO. No sense sidelining the whole project when you can push toward the finish.
The speedway fenders are priced better, I am sure we can work them, the Wescott's are a lot more costly and I hear better, we will be fine though. Not really derailing the build just a pain to get parts and those rear fenders are probably the easiest body part to change out later. I'll get a midwest early ford bed ordered soon plus lots of other Nickle and Dime stuff.

Those speedway glass fenders are pretty stout, we are going to have to work them anyway but should get the job done until we can get around to repairing my original steel ones in the future.

Still messing with door alignment stuff, anyone know of any tips and tricks to get cab movement, we have shimmed under the cab between it and the cab mounting wood and that helps a little to get it to tweak some, we also put a shim in the lower door hinge to raise it but I am wondering what other methods can be done.

Oh and my doors are lined up now but that cab is not square, huge gaps on both doors, not much we can do outside of chasing it for months so it is good enough, we will weld material to the edges of the doors to make it "look" better.

Yeah I have body shims under the passenger front and we also lifted the doors forcibly, cab is not square, appears to have been wrecked in the back passenger area, the floor is raised up a bit. It was probably out of square when I got it, didn't even have a firewall, I know before we cut out the floor pans and added the firewall we added supports to the inside of the cab.Quote:

almost every pre48 i have built was out of wack. on my 37 i cut the weld on the inner door brace and twisted it then rewelded to suck the bottom corner in. done that on several . shutting the door on a 2x4 was common practise back then . you just have to magilla gorilla them .

We'll get the door gap stuff fixed next probably, then start working towards a full body mock up.
Very nice work and great progress! My sedan has bad door alignment too but I'm going to get it live able so I might be able to get it back together before 2030. :LOL:
