Ryan, I agree 100%. Figure out your overall diameters and shop for tires that make it work. Taller tires can be your friend when working the gear ratios, allowing some taller rear gear numbers for play while still supporting good cruise rpm's. Go for the overall look you want to achieve. The way the tire market is today 16's will likely be the next size to disappear from the "normal" sizes.Last edited by rspears; 11-24-2012 at 09:41 AM.

Yep, you're right guys. I need to check out some tire sizes and see what's available. I think these in 17" and 18" in the rear will be what I go with. My front end will be able to get lower and handle a taller tire set up correctly unlike how it was.Ryan

Have any of you guys used the rear 4-link kit for the 35-40's from Speedway? I'm contemplating getting it and ditching my rear leaf springs and going air bags or coil overs.

Don't know about either one, but you might call the guys at Pete & Jake's and talk to them about their 4-bar setup - Pete & Jake's: Catalog Speedway might be re-branding the Pete & Jake's parts?Roger

This is a 255 rear and fits the fender nice in the radius . This axle still needs narrowed and drop the rear . Should fill up the hole very nice .

I don't have pictures to post yet, but.................... I did order a 11" brake kit for the MII front. I did some measuring on my cross member and it actually is square in the frame, and has the correct caster. So, I'm going to redo some of the ugly welding and redo the boxing plate areas I'm not happy with. I plan to buy a new frame later down the road. I'm shopping parts trying to find the best deal so I can get this car pieced back together in 5 weeks................
Here's a list of stuff I have to get to get it running.
Block Hugger Headers (Not a have to have)
Torque converter
Starter
Carb adapter
Oil filter adapter
Power brake setup
Exhaust kit
Gas tank
Carb rebuild kit or summit carb
HEI dist and hot heads adapter
I think that's the majority of the big parts. We'll see how it goes.Ryan

Thanks Dave! I'm sure that list will grow when I figure out I'm missing this and that. There's a lot more I'd like to get for it, but I'll concentrate on the things to get it back on the road for now. I'm going to try to drive it to Torque Fest and start off summer right. Last year I didn't have either of my cars together to do anything with.
