What a Difference 22 Years Makes...

What a difference 32 years makes. I took the ’71 out this morning to a men’s prayer time at church and when I came out I saw this - my ’71 and Pastor Steve’s 2003 Silverado. Both great looking trucks and he uses his to haul a 32’ camping trailer but I am drawn to the ’71 - which has been a workhorse in its own right over the years but I “retired” the ol’ gal a few years ago and now I enjoy cruising with the windows down and love the nods and thumbs up I get almost every time we go out. I love the bench seat when Joanie come along as she still snuggles up next to me and feel like we’re 30 something for a while. I’ll still go to Home Depot and throw a board or a sack of potting soil in the bed but no more loading to the top or dump runs. I think she’s paid her dues.

Good looking trucks, your 71 is nice. I wish I still had my 62, but when I spun a bearing in the 400 that was in it I let it go for a little of nothing, still have the 400.
My daily driver is an 04 Dakota ext. cab with the 4.7, just turned 125,000 over the weekend and it'll roast the tires if I get in it hard enough.

Ummmm............wouldn't that be 32 years? LOL

I bought a '72 new, and had another in the 90s..........love that body style above all others.

Ummmmm...........or even 52 years? LOLx2 My bad - I passed by the 2003 year for Pastor Steve's truck and assumed it was a new one, 2024. Should have known better than to question Uncle Bob's math!!

The best thing IMO would be to combine both of the trucks. Then you can enjoy best of them both.
