ah, but do you ahve to buy a rotating assembly crank and stuff? stock rods work with that or do you need differnt ones? and since the motor is gonna be that big, 10's shouldnt be hard either should they?

You could use a set of full prepped stock 6.135 with the ARP rod bolt if you wanted to.
The complete 496 rotaing assembly with new i-beam rods with ARP rod bolts,Speed Pro hyper pistons, new cast steel crank, moly rings, rod bearings, main bearings can be bought for less than $950.

I.M.O.,at 12 sec. you should be o.k., but in the low 11 sec. area it would bother me.

I think you should be able to run on pump gas with-out adding any type of octane booster.

    Yes,you could with the 496.
I know you like tunnel rams but I would rather see you run a Victor jr. with a 850 dp or even an RPM performer.

with a small car it would help to dump some TQ he will get out of the hole better and i have ran the T rams on the street with small CFM AFBs on them they work good and it will make more power over a single plane with re work gm rods with ARP or SPS bolts have seen them go past 6800 rpm and a stock cast crank low piston weight and a good valve train with the right bottom and clearance it will run just fine
