    Yes,they where 4- bolt mains.
I would run a Victor intake.
    The dist. is different.
MSD and others make a dist. that has a slip collar on that adjusts up and down.
Some after-market manifolds will let you run the std. sbc/bbc dist.

My friend had a 1968 Lemans all steel . With a 496 and Brodix heads with a Big flat tappet solid lifter cam . And a Victor intake with a Dominator carb . He ran a TH400 with a 4200 stall and a 456 gear . With a small spray kit that car ran high 9s . One time it pulled the front end up so high that when it came down it smashed up the oil pan real bad .

the crankshaft on the 366/396/402 and 427 all have the 3.76 stroke and are internally balanced . The 454 cranks are 4.00" stroke and are externally balanced . On a 396/402 It's possible to go all the way to the 4.251" bore and use standard 427 pistons . But do not use 454 pistons . They have 0.130" less compression height . But boring a 396/402 to 4.251" is risky and may not work . But the truck blocks have thicker cylinder walls and can be bored 0.125" over . Like a 283 COOL
