OK, clutch is fixed, grill is on, and a couple of annoying oil leaks fixed. Should be road testing by next weekend! I decided to put a short build video together, check it out if you have 8 minutes to spare.

That was way cool! Great choice on the music too. What did you find in the clutch / tranny to be the issue?

No biggie, just didn't have all the air out of the lines. I thought I'd bleed it once more before I pulled it apart and it started working.Quote:

Thanks, Bobby. Yeah, pulling the engine would have really sucked. Actually it was one of Auto Zone's online vacuum line diagrams that helped me figure it out. I usually dont buy parts there but they've got a lot of info on their site.
I should be doing a short road test tomorrow; over the last few days I wrapped up a lot of little stuff. I built a new shifter handle with some 1/2" stainless rod, wired the radio and put a check engine light in next to it, got the carpet and seat back in, plus some other goodies. Still a fairly good list of misc to finish but it should start making some short shakedown trips this week.

You've done a great job all the way through on this on, taking something many people ignore and making it a viable cruiser. The interior indeed looks great, and compliments that lipstick red outside 100%. Bet she'll turn some heads around town on the shakedown runs!

Thanks, all. Other than a few minor bugs to address, it's pretty much done. My wife and I gave it a bath today and took it out a little. It runs and drives really nice. Should be hitting the first show next weekend.
Well, congratulations on building an awesome looking sleeper and if you don't get a reward for that interior alone, people just don't get the " Old School " look, I love it and the whole car is bloody marvellous.

The car loses it's "sleeper" status with that eye-popping color.....nobody can sleep around that!:LOL::LOL::LOL: but taking a gander under the bonnet of this nicely done "MoFo" will certainly cause some additional eye-popping, raised eye brows, high-fives and many awards! It's an innovative combo that should be fun, fast enough, dependable and somewhat economical to drive around turning heads and enjoying the raised thumbs! Congrats, Falcon!!! I've really enjoyed following your awesome build and tossing in an occasional smart-a$$ comment.....:LOL::LOL::LOL:

It was really nice to actually drive something instead of working on it the whole weekend. I hit two shows Saturday and drove it around a lot both days. Lots of confused people trying to figure out what the engine was. Still got a few minor bugs to address but it's all stuff I can fix on the fly. Im taking it to a Saturday night Main Street cruise next weekend; i'll try and do a short video while I'm there.
Now the fun begins

Yeah, I don't know why it loaded sideways? Anyway, that's my oldest daughter. She's a car jut like dad; her dating criteria always starts with what kind of car they drive.
For some reason, photos taken in vertical format (camera sideways) with some digital cameras upload rotated even though they may look normal on your computer. It has to do with the metadata stored in the photo.

It's doing great but Im thinking of putting it up for sale since we are putting our house on the market. We're probably going to move to an apartment or a small rental place while we build a place so I'm thinking of how Im going to store all my stuff in the meantime.
