Naw my shop is as clean as it has ever been since buying my 48 truck!, just for different reasons....divorce. The good thing is my new place will have a shop with just my stuff in it, no addition junk stuffed in there that never gets used opened or moved! Still a lot of it is mine! :)

:LOL::LOL: Not here......mine was so bad after after getting dads took box restored and the Ram 50 running that I had to do the fall cleaning Sunday and Monday.

Once I got the trans apart I found the case was cracked where the pump bolts in so I ended up buying another trans for parts from one of the local Mopar racers. I took the best parts from both along with a rebuild kit, B&M shift kit, and a 2800 stall converter to get it all together. Now she's bolted down for good and I can start putting everything else together. It was my first trans rebuild; fingers crossed that it all works. I used a 727 service manual and several You Tube videos for guidance.
Great work! It's pretty amazing how long chrysler ran the 727 based trans.

Lots of little stuff done lately; wires, misc fittings, R&P mounted, etc. I got the floor put back together and worked on modifying the Jag shifter today. The cable is a little short so I'm going to try and use a B&M cable on it.

I was looking at distributor options and found a place that machines this little bracket that bolts on the stock distributor allowing use of an HEI module. Super slick and only $25. I've got all the engine wires run and and am not too far away from a test fire.

Same here! I have a week off of work coming up after next week and I hope for a test fire then.
Got back on this one last weekend. I freshened up a Holley 780 I had but had to make a new bracket to relocate the coil since the bowls hang out further. I got the alternator brackets made; I decided to go with a GM alternator so Id have an internal regulator. I also pulled the fuel pump for the SHO motor out of the tank and replaced it with a straight 3/8" line and will mount an external pump. As soon as i get the fuel line run and the pump mounted, it should be ready for a short test fire.
It's looking great!
First fire up today; sounds pretty good. Next order of business is to figure out how to fit the steering column around the headers and the starter.

I got the column drop finished and did a trial fit on the shaft. Everything clears, I should be in good shape. I made a floor plate for the lower column mounts, then pulled it all back apart for some touch up paint.
Done, all back together and turns smooth with no binding. Not sure if I can use the steering wheel; now that I lowered it, it might be too big and be sitting right on my lap. I'll know when I put the seat in. Should be able to put the front clip back on next and start piping the cooling system.
I got the front clip back on in the last couple of days and have been working on little things like getting the shift cable mounts lined out, changed the leaky pinion seal, plus other misc items. I really lucked out; I was afraid the inner fender wells I built for the SHO motor wouldn't fit around the Mopar engine but they worked out great.
Looks like it was born there!

I had a week off of work and wrapped a lot of things up. Radiator is in, all my carb linkages are built and installed, trans cooler in, exhaust in, plus a ton of other little things. I hope to drop the drive shaft off tomorrow at the shop to be shortened and start putting the interior back in. The big frustration has been this remote oil filter. I've been chasing little leaks on the braided lines and the adapter; get one fixed and another one starts. It's been apart and back together about 4 times and I found another little one today. I'm just about ready to toss it in the trash and try something else.
Other than that, I should be ready for cruising by the end of the month.
That BB Mopar really fits in there nicely......great work.

I had been thinking about doing a remote filter location back a ways.. but just went with a short filter.
I know that isn't the issue with your install, just sayin'! LOL..
That looks great! What brand of ss hose did you get? I have an oil filter relocation adapter for my 72 and one for the 40. I just planned to use parker type hose on them. Mainly because I can get it locally.
Man, it's been the hoses, the fittings, the adapter gasket; it's been a real PIA. I'm thinking about going with a Canton oil filter adapter; they're a better quality and they've got the ports on the side so you don't have to use An 90 fittings and it puts them in a more accessible spot. We'll see, I'm ignoring it for the time being.
I don't remember what brand of hose it is, I had bought some from Summit a few years back and still using it up.
I've had a couple customer trucks that had the spin on adapter relocation kit, and those always seem to vibrate loose and leak. They were a severe pain in the rear.
Just guessing here but tell Carl hi when you get the driveshaft shortened! Sorry about the problems but its looking great.
