If I were you, I'd try to make your current setup work reasonably well. What if you buy a new carb, throw it on and NO difference, then what?

If there is a problem beyond the carb a new one won't fix it, but I agree it is an easy fix but hoping things work themselves out and get better is only that, hope.

I'd try new plugs before a new carb, you'd be surprised what a difference the right plugs can make, and it's only a $20 risk.
