I know the rings are in there, they arent o rings they are those locking rings (metal) if i had the tranny still down id pull the pump and send you some pics, the valve you said is the cooler bypass valve, thought it was some type of pressure regulating valve, it was in the inside portion of the pump body the part that goes into the front drum. and it looked kinda like a spool valve but short and i was told if the spring lets go it will lose all oil pressure and its best to tap and plug it especially if the pin looks worn. Damn i guess i will pull that damn thing out again tomorrow.
