when you put the new pump in, are you sure the 2 oil rings on the stator 1/2 of the pump were on there. the oil rings goes into thr front clutch pack and if you leave them out there is no pressure. you have a major leak, or the pump is not turning or the filter pick-up is blocked off.
You know, i mean i know the rings are there but damn i cant remember if they seemed like they went all the way into the front drum. damn. i think they did, i know the rings are on there i know it for sure. tell me more about this priming valve, when i rebuilt the tranny i took that p.o.s pin out and and tapped the bore and put a pipe plug in there and drilled the plug with like an 1/8 drill bit. maybe smaller but not much. i noticed the plunger did not move up and down though when i was done i think the pipe plug was too far down into the bore. any opinions on that? when i would loosen the pipe plug the plunger would move up and down. what do ya think?
