I would think that fenderwell headers, pointing down at the ground will give you a considerable amount of resonance with the sound bouncing up and hitting the floor on the highway, but I could be wrong. I recall driving my old '60 Chevy with a 348 and new glasspacks ending right below the front seats. I was about deaf from the drone after 100 miles....
