Nice thing about the 8.8 is the wide range of after-market for them. I put a 8.8 in a Jeep that came out of a 99 Explorer. I put a 4.56 set of Yukon gears and a Detroit locker in it. That was a beast of a rear end. I beat the heck out of it and it had the disk brakes.
