Under those circumstances and usage, you should have no problem. Lots of S10's running around with V8 swaps. I am using one in my T and in my '39, one has a 350 Chevy, the other a 406 Olds, and know I can't do smokey burnouts all the time, but that is not what I plan on doing anyway.

S10's are really a nice fit for streetrods, plentiful, and consequently pretty cheap.

At 50 here it will be really hard for me not to do some burn outs . Have you thought about a 8.8 nice up grade and some narrow ones in the early 90 rangers. U pull it yards around here sell whole rear ends for $50 .

You could use a '87-'93 Mustang 8.8 and if you get it out of a GT Mustang you get a locker. All '87-'93 Mustangs came with 4 lug, If you use 2 driver side axles from a Ranger, or use Astro van's 2 pass side axles you will get 5lug. Around here axles go for about $25.00, and rear ends are about $25.00- $75.00.
Bolt on Lincoln rear disk mounting plates reverse side and backwards and rotors, then you can use Mark III caliptors and have disk also.

    Just another idea.
