Most 4X4 Ford rangers & Bronco II's have 8.8 And some have posi's in them with lower gear ratio's than the Mustangs.....With 5 on 4 1/2 lug pattern. They also were leaf spring mounted, they are easier to "clean-up" to use for 4-link.
The down side is the flange mounted rear yoke on the driveshaft so snag the drive shaft also.

But! they don't have the the drive shaft on center of the rear end! Astro vans also have 8.8 with 5 lug also, but also not on center.

dumb!
One axle on the van & one on the Ranger is the same axle as Mustangs both axles, except 5 lug. Lincon will also work, but will make it 3/4" wider per side.
