I am building a S10 and the guys on the S10 sites say that 300 HP with hard launching will break them. Its the hard launches (usually slicks) when they break.
Some of the Exployers and others have 8.8" rears. They stick out about 3" on each side but maybe backset wheels would help here. The only change is the pinion yoke is different and napa has the right one to fit it together.
But there are some 10 sec. S10's with the original 7.5" rears but should be 'beefed up' if abused.
