It's the welder amperage that determines it's welding capacity, I don't care much for flux weld. Gas shielded (Mig) is a cleaner weld. Usually the larger welders are gas shielded Mig. The less expensive welders are more commonly the flux core welders (Less equipment needed). If you want a real clean weld try TIG.
