    I ended up using a plastic ice scraper(found under the seat of an old car)after keeping it wet for a while. then I finished it off with some thinner and steel wool..came out good...     I have used 3M weatherstrip remover. Its actually Naptha. Leave it on awhile. Then its blade city.

    i hate wd40 as much as anyone but i was informed it has no silicone in it . good thing i didn't bet but i still watch where i use it.

    i think it just hangs in the air for a long time. i work at a body shop and next to it was a mag and alum casting foundry they had something over there oil fired? and if the wind was blowing just right you could smell it like hot sand and oil smell . i would get very small pin fish eyes in the finsh the only time i would get any was when they fired them up and the wind was blowing just right
