Thanks again HOTRODPAINT for your input!!

I had sent an email to PPG Customer Service and just heard back from them. I called them to discuss there email and the rep was able to clear up all my questions. What I basically understood from our conversation was the "K" series acrylic primer and the polyester primers are both equally acceptable over the polyester fillers and DPLF substrates. The difference being the product itself. The polyester is just a "spray-on" filler and can be laid down to form a very thick coating to sand off and level pitted metal and other imperfections..... Our car is not that bad so we will go with the K 36 or K38 primer. As far as the fillers are concerned we will use the Evercoat "Rage" Xtreme or Gold filler with Evercoat Polyester Glazing Putty or Euro-Soft® for the skim coat and small stuff.

Thanks again for all your help and getting us on the right path!!!
