I think I'd just have to throw a seat on there and drive it just like it is! I heard Show Me is a top notch shop; hopefully they treat you right.

Had to take a break away from internet. I'm back....preparing to hit the 36 again....but also thinking about buying a Pro Street Roller from a friend. 67 Nova. Not sure though. Still have my sons 65 Elky to paint first spring. Cant wait for warmer weather!Do not lift a rock only to drop it on your own foot

By the way, going back through everyones threads.....need the inspiration. I know I have a lot of work to get the 36 on the road. It comes so easy for some of you guys (that would be a compliment) but I have ADD and the build is taking soo long. If I can get the whole thing mocked up at least I can take it for a spin. The rest is easy for me. Its the intial build thats killing me. LOL's.
Hats off to all my CHR friends! You guys are all great!
Also....anyone that could go through some of my build pics and recognize anything that just doesnt look right....let me know. I'm all for ideas and/or critiqueing. One thing I notice....because I shortend the bed....now the cab looks too tall. LOL's. Someone else mentioned they didnt like how I hung the rear coil springs.....off the 9/16" bolt in the bottom of the spindles.
Have some ideas to modify the brake pedal.....moving it over another inch to get it away from the steering column. I'm kinda stuck with the position of the steer column.
Good to talk to guys again. Been away too long.Do not lift a rock only to drop it on your own foot

I cant explain it.....I just get overloaded with the whole internet thing....so I just take a break from it all. Could say I just got a bit burned out. I went nearly every day for a year on the 36. Then my wife and I finally found a house we both love and moved less than 1/4 mile from work.
So now....nothing is too wild for engine choice.

Really enjoying some time in my own garage on my own projects for awhile!!!! Got a few more tubes tacked into place on the 'maro headers... I am going to have a bit of a challenge getting them turned out and into the side pipes while keeping the radius' correct and the 3 1/2" diameter... Actually gave some thought to stepping up to 4" side pipes????? Fenderwell headers just look so----retro to me!!!!

I was standing back looking at the headers today, and for a minute there dreamed about a cross ram dual 4 on top of the engine!!!!!!

That's starting to look like a character out of Spider Man Dave!
A cross ram dual 4 on top of the engine would sure set it off!

T bucket build
Wow. after looking through some of the projects going on here I really feel out-classed. I've never been a show car kinda guy, but I've always felt I built some pretty nice "drivers".... until I saw yours. geeze. I won't live long enough to build that kind of detail into a car. Oh well. I still enjoy it.
A few years ago I was buillding a Northstar powered IMSA Fiero and got off on a side project of building an individual throttle body FI system for it. kind of because some guys said I couldn't do it the way I had sugested. anyway... I set up a mule motor in my shop to test out my ideas on, and once that project was compleated (successfully BTW
), that motor has just been setting in my shop ever since. a few weeks ago I got the bug to build a car for it, and then things just kinda started falling into place from there. first a 23 T body and bare frame fell in my lap really cheep, then a T-5 trans, then a custom flywheel setup for the Northstar, and on and on. I had a 56 Chev rear end and a 36 Ford front end with juice brakes already set up on it, so now all I need to do is connect all the parts together
. As all my cars are, this one will also be of "driver" quality, and not a trailer queen. very little chrome, but lots of powder coat, polished aluminum and paint.
mock up has begun, and here's what it looks like so far.
