    Nice job! I am using a show me rod and custom roadster body also. How do you like it?Do you have any pictures of the interior during the build?

    I don't have the body yet. Trying to finish frame first then get the body. also I don't have the money right now. ( sold my race car and bought the wife a swimming pool with the money for putting up with the race car ). hoping to complete the car in about 2 yrs. as far as interior Headliner in Fort Worth TX. will be doing it when the time comes. How do you like your body. How long after you got it did you paint the car?

    I bought the body late last year. Its been a process that I dont want to go thru again for awhile. Alot of stuff to fiqure out...got screwed over by one shop here in Austin that was suposed to do some work for me...

    The frame and body go to paint this weekend. A freind that works at Classic Jaguar here in town is doing the interior. Im going washington blue for he body, im running a hood top only, I have a Sid Chavers Bop top in Tan, Interior will be a distressed leather.....Some day it will be done

    My project 1963 Galaxie

     



    Looking for some help? I am rebuilding a 1963 Ford Galaxie that has a 352. I have been looking for a 390 when I was given a 429 for free. Question will it fit in the Galaxie and if not what can I do to make it fit?[ATTACH]DSCI0008 (2).jpg[/ATTACH]

    Good lookin' frame, SG!!! No time limit on putting a Hot Rod together!!! For some of us the fun is in the build process anyway!!!!

    Not much new here.... Spent yesterday welding on the driver's side floor of the 'maro getting the frame ties and some reinforcement pieces put in place. Another one of them deals where you work all day and it doesn't look like you've accomplished anything!!! Hope to get the rest of the floor and some other details finished up today, then lower the car down to ride height and start on the suspension....

    I went ahead and traded my 92 Vette. I needed a good car for work and didn't feel like putting an engine in the vette so I ran it on Craigslist to look for a good even trade. It's a 2002, 3.8 5 speed. Should make a decent daily driver.

    Good lookin' Horse, Falcon!!!! The 3.8 is a good engine, does quite well on mpg, too. Heck of a lot nicer car then some old blowed up chebbie!!!!

    Well, I've got Mopars and GM's; I figured I might as well get a Furd in the driveway, too. I got several trade offers; this one looked and drove the best and had the least miles. Hopefully I can get a few good years out of it.

    I had a couple hours yesterday afternoon & a couple more this afternoon, so I thought I'd get organized for the upcoming "Z" firewall build. I've got some sheet metal tools that have been under the bench for a good long while now. So, I chopped up an old attachment I had for my first track loader that was just collecting dust in the corner. It had some slip tubes on it (like a receiver for the hitch). I used some angle iron I had in the shed and made this deal up. I put it on an outside corner of the shop so I'd have plenty of workin' room.

    I bought a stretcher/shrinker at a car show a couple years ago. No mount so it hasn't been used yet.



    Harbor Freight Planishing hammer. Might call it new old stock. I've had it for a long time too, but never used it.





    I've used the bead roller a couple times. Clamped it in the band saw when I DID use it.



    I'm wondering about a wing (table top) on each side of the bead roller to help feed the stock through? or maybe it would just get in the way? Any thoughts?

    I still plan to make an attachment to hold the bench vise, and one for a small welding table. I'm gettin' tired of saw horses......... ops:

    A table top for the bead roller is a definite plus!! Makes them a whole lot easier to accurately follow a line... The corner setup should work good, Pro!!!!

    Gary, you might also design in a fence to help maintain spacing. Comes in handy on some rolls.
