    That looks similar to the issues I have. When I have the side panels installed, they fit flush with the grille but there's still a gap in the hood. On mine it almost seems like the center of the grille is too high, which raises the peak of the hood too high to close the gap at the side panels. I'm going to put new rubber body mounts on the frame before I do any additional hood/fender fitment.
