We aways cop flak here in Taranaki,about various things,,and I have said in the past,that if we closed off the top entrance at the Awakino tunnel,,and the bottom entrance,at the Hawera rail overbridge,,we could become a republic..We have most of the gas/oil in the country,,some excellent farming land,(ask John boy),and our own milk/cheese processing plants,etc..We dont need much else.. When entering Taranaki province,,stop at the gate,show passport/visitors visa,and proceed with caution..No,ya cant come here to live..Only way is for your spouse to find you outside the province,,and import you,,like Lynda did.. She always tells people she imported me..
