I'm born and raised Texan, I tell ya'll they want to do this for all the wrong reasons. Anytime there's a political uprising in Texas, you can bet it's wealthy business men behind it.
Reasons for Texas to secceed the Union..
1)Lower the minimum wage, they deserve to work for peanuts.
2)Open the borders to illegals, we pay too much for minimum wage workers.
3)We don't like Obama because (insert reason here).
4)Because Texas did it before and we can do it again.
5)We believe we have enough oil to barter for imports with our neighboring states.
Reason they won't do it...
1)No more federal highway money!

Not going to comment on your points, but more important welcome to CHR! Glad to have you here. Maybe start a new thread and tell us what you're working on or what lights your fires?
