actually, without realizing it, you made the very points I was trying to make.
You think you can intimidate / assault people because you are driving a bigger vehicle? think twice, it could end badly.
I have a very SERIOUS attitude / responsibility towards weapons. Carrying is a privledge which one can easily loose ( as you inferred ). I would NEVER draw my weapon unless I was going to use it. Dude's pass side door would have had three or four holes in it before he ever saw the weapon.
Doesn't sound like a good ending for either of us, does it?
No, I don't go around waving my gun at random people for some subverterd feeling of superiority or power. In the years that I have carried, this was the first time I started to draw. I guess you just weren't there, or else I didn't describe it well enough.
And for the kid on the bike.. who knows, he might think twice before he drives stupid, just because he doesn't 'see' any cops. Might even save his or anothers life? Oh, and btw, it was also the first time I 'flashed my badge'. And, I never had any intention of shooting the punk on the bike. He was ( mostly ) just endangering himself..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.
