Glad to see you're having fun with the kids down there in Georgia.
Had it been me, I would never have pulled over for anybody in a Chevette, matter of fact there were days gone by that I probably wouldn't have pulled over for a real marked car. 
Just about any crotch rocket bigger than a Vespa, would leave the Chevette in the dust. Guess you got lucky the kid wasn't on a big bike.
